Sir the Great!!!

After a brief(?) period of dormancy, I am back. Yesterday,Chomo called me lazy and that is when I realised that it is high time to write a blog. So, I started thinking of a topic to write about. The first thing which I thought of was my new chatting addiction but then I thought of a topic that would be fodu, as it is about someone who is fodu:
SIR.
Afterall, anything that has even the most trivial involvement from Sir cannot go wrong. /*Sir's touch=Midas's touch*/
Trivial for Sir = herculean for mere mortals.
Yesterday, he gave me another evidence of his genius. He became the first person in IIIT to make a working robot. You can gauge his genius from the fact that even the robot in the Robotics Lab is not made in IIIT. Even the founder member and the probably the most enthu chap of the IRC hasn't finished his robot, and here is Sir,smiling(as he always is), demonstrating his 'Line Follower'. /*and this, inspite of the *fodu* E.C course that we've had*/
Well, his genius is not restricted to acads, or robotics or just geeky stuff, he is fodu in every field. He is among the best defenders in IIIT,he has the same importance in IIIT's football defence, as Rahul Dravid has in India's batting (He is second only to bada Nesta). Then, quizzing is another field, where he is fodu. Most of the answers he gives in the quiz club meetings are his guesses, but again
Sir's guess = superfodu stuff for mere mortals.
/*Sir can also play the tabla. Although I've never heard him play, nobody would be surprised if he isn't fodu at it too.*/
Then let me come to academics. Well, here Sir is one of those /*those?!! As if you've seen many more like him.*/ effortless fodus. Programming is an art which, I believe he had mastered even before his birth. It is as natural for him as talking - he can literally, talk to the computer. Web designing is another area where he has proven his authority .He also is the consultant for some websites, where developers pose riddles to him and he solves them like the omniscient. Electronic circuits are like his breath, he plays day and night with them. Maths and Physics are, like pieces of cake.He is probably the only person, who actually impressed Mrs.Marathe with his genius.
/*he hardly ever touched the book, but was the only one in the batch to score more than 80 in english*/
And another of his great, unrevealed talents is teaching. He is not as /*overly*/expressive as Jimmy is, neither does he enjoy teaching (I think), but is really good at it. I am myself a piece of evidence. Before the second mid-sem, Sir taught me for 20 minutes and the result was that I got 17/20. Isn't that a miracle?
I can go on an on narrating incidents that prove Sir's genius, but then, time is money and I am already short of it. So, as a concluding remark, take my advice, whenever you find yourself in trouble, just remember:
Why fear,when Sir is here!!!

Done with CO

Finally , the CO end-sem is over and Mamu will soon be leaving for good. Good for him and heaven for us , but I guess I will miss CO a bit. 0n the other hand , Mamu never thought of our grades while setting the end-sem paper , so I have no sympathies for him. His one and a half hour classes were never too enjoyable anyway. He was a good teacher though....

Anyway , it seems Smiley wants to see stuff other than the chronicles of IIIT in this blog. I'll consider that for my next post :-).

smiley's profile ;->

hmm.....
i guess i differ with ganand on a couple of points there-->
1.
a.)Real Name : T.S.Prasanna
b.)Full Form : Tamil Sangam Prasanna [ due to his soft-corner for all those tamil people ]
c.)Nickname : Smiley [ nicknamed so NOT because of his "ability" to keep smiling(which is a positive sense), its just because on the application of a little pressure,or when in grey mood,he does little else but smiles ! ]

2. Occupation : Downloading, trying to read and in general praising anything(i mean ANYTHING) which is in pdf(Prasanna Document Format)

oh... and the other occupation,of "playing" CZ,its more like "attempting" to do the afore mentioned

The Dynamics of Change in a Homo - Sapien's Mood

March 11th , 2005 : Seriously , the most laze filled - day I've ever spent in IIIT. No reason to go home , no mood to study , hence nothing to do but waste time playing CZ.

March 12th , 2005 : Now I'm totally saturated with CZ and am sick of my PC. My room feels claustrophobic. Need a change desperately. Enter The IIIT library. Loads of interesting books and magazines and the right air-conditioned atmosphere to read them in. Whats more , I slip in some Python too. Less work for the end sem. And my short separation from my PC increases my respect for it . All in all, proves to be a kick-ass way to land a kick on my lazy ass.

March 13th ... yet to come ... how will it go ? Place your bets.
a) My lazy counterpart is reborn in me.
b) I keep up the good work and postpone (a) for the 14th.

BLACK

Well, there we were, inside Prasads, standing and looking at people trying to get to the top of an artificial rock climbing wall, waiting for the movie to begin. This was quite an event in itself.Sir's first Hindi movie ever,Smiley's first time at Prasads,Chomo's first fully awake state in almost a month........

And boy,"Black" was all worth it,not because the movie was too good or the babes were in plenty, but it was Smiley's and Jimmy's real time movie which made it memorable,Rani Mukherjee says,'Yes I did it,in spite of all difficulties', and there flow tears out of Smiley's eyes,Jimmy starts sobbing unknowingly and what's more,it doesnt end there with that scene.Smiley lets open his floodgates, wiping his eyes, every 5 minutes.Soon,he had left Jimmy far behind in hanky-wetting contest.

Well, though the best part was over, there was more fun for us.I shared Jimmy's "Lachha Tokri" at Ohri's,Smiley gave another evidence of his generosity,by bestowing the ownership of The Ramoji Film City on the former BJP President Venkaiah Naidu, who came to Prasads to pay a visit to the great Smiley. But Smiley will soon have to find a way to pacify the anger of another of his pets,Ramoji Rao.

After all the drama, both on and off the screen,we left Prasads.Chomo bid us a twisted goodbye, literally. The 4 of us found an auto rickshaw and somehow stuffed ourselves into it,hoping to reach Lakdikapul bus stop,as quickly as possible. But the driver had different plans. He gave us the most attractive offer of taking us straight to IIIT,in the rickshaw, loaded with all modern comforts, not to mention the wonderful treatment Smiley's legs were getting from Sir's strong bones and all this for a meagre Rs120!!!!.I still regret our foolish and ungrateful decision to turn his offer down.We thrust the hardships of the bus on ourselves, where we had to sit on 4 different seats :-(

Well that was all for the day.But the only disappointment was that even the most voluminous effort by Jimmy and Smiley could not convince Sir that 'Black' was actually worth his precious time and at the end of the day,Smiley classified me and Sir as 'stones',cold and emotionless.
